  • (Park Record) A new strip mall connected to the Kamas Food Town is expected to be complete and open for business by late summer this year.

So far, the only tenant lined up is a Family Dollar retail store, but Denis Tanner, an owner of the Food Town and one of the developers along with his brother Steve and Kevin and Kathleen Hoyt, said he'd like to see something like an insurance agency and he's trying to court a Subway sandwich shop and a Dollar Cuts "Like you'd see in a normal shopping center," he said.

  • Developer Brett Hollberg of LRH Properties Inc. is planning to develop 395 acres in Kamas. Hollberg hopes to build a five-lot subdivision in the area, with each lot on six acres. The remaining land would be designated as open, agricultural space. The subdivision, called Cove at Cherry Canyon, would be east of Wanship.
