2010 Legislative Outlook

The 2010 Utah Legislative General Session will start on Jan. 25. The Utah Housing Coalition will present a legislative outlook on what they will expect to be introduced as housing bills at 11 a.m. on Jan. 6 at NeighborWorks, 625 W. Girrard Avenue, Salt Lake City. Some of the issues that will be discussed are preservation of manufactured home communities through resident-owned communities, disclosure of properties contaminated by methamphetamine usage or manufacture, landlords/renter issues, protections for renters finding themselves living in properties undergoing foreclosure, Economic Development Areas (EDA) proposed amendments, and a constitutional amendment proposal to ban the creation of a tax on the sale or transfer of real property.
