Presentation on Foreclosure Rescue Scams

Foreclosure Rescue Scams are becoming more and more prevalent in our community as homeowners in distress look for ways to save their homes. Too often scammers target trusting faith-based congregations, prey on the elderly and non-English speakers, and inundate communities with empty promises of foreclosure rescue. For the February meeting of the Utah Housing Coalition, Ryan Carver, Director of Housing Counseling at AAA Fair Credit Foundation, will present  information about the latest foreclosure rescue scams, how to spot them, and where to turn for real, credible help with preventing foreclosure at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at NeighborWorks, 625 W. Girrard Avenue, Salt Lake City.
