Public Safety Building Workshop

Date:
03/31/2010

In an effort to continue public dialogue and ensure that the Public Safety Buildings meet the needs of the community, a series of public workshops are being held to gather input regarding the master plan for the facilities. The workshop will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, at the Salt Lake City Library, 212 E. 400 South.

A summary of comments from previous workshops will be presented for continued public input. Formal recommendations for the Public Safety Buildings within the Civic Campus Plan of the Central Community master plan will also be presented. Residents are encouraged to participate in the workshops by sharing opinions and expressing priorities on issues such as; open space, civic campus, view lines, balance of residential and commercial use, building design and transit oriented development.

Future public workshops will focus specifically on the design elements of the Public Safety Building and Emergency Operations Center as related to the needs of the community and building occupants. This series of workshops will be led by the architect and project engineers. The workshops will be scheduled and announced once the Architectural firm has been selected.

If you have any questions regarding the workshops please contact David Hart, FAIA, Project Manager at 801.532.3390 or email at dhh@mocasystems.com.
