The Washington County Economic Summit 2010, "What's Up Down South," will be on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George. The Summit will give an insider's edge about projects and growth in southern Utah for the next 18 months. This will be a multimedia presentation by local businesses and organizations on the verge of major expansions. Senator Bob Bennett will be the breakfast keynote speaker. And Gov. Gary Herbert will be the lunch keynote speaker. The breakout sessions will include, Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Internet Marketing with Fizz, Small Business Finance, Strategic Planning for Tough Alternatives, What We Need to Know our Customers, Coaching for Passionate Performance, Water Development, Demographic and Economics, St. George Municipal Airport, Is This the Road to Recovery? and Navigating Legal Potholes in a Recession Economy. Early registration, between Nov. 30 and Jan. 3, is $70 and includes breakfast, lunch and the workshops. Late registration, after Jan. 3, is $85 until the event sells out.
