Blumenthal joins federal effort to crack down on mortgage rescue scams

Citing an increase in mortgage-related schemes targeting homeowners since the recession began, state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal met with federal officials in Washington, D.C., Thursday to begin discussing ways to combat such scams.
