Feds give UTA two livability grants

Washington • The federal government awarded two livability grants to the Utah Transit Authority to help build a transit hub in Provo and create a mixed-use development near light rail in South Salt Lake.
The grants were two of more than 50 awarded Thursday under the Obama administration’s livability program, awarding money for smaller transit projects in areas that coordinate residential and business development.
