Re “Nay to Antiquities Act” by Sen. Orrin Hatch and Rep. Rob Bishop (Forum, Oct. 3):
Might we not think that, after an unimaginable 35 years in office, our esteemed senior senator would have learned that public lands belong to all the American people, and that “faceless, unelected Washington bureaucrats” act in their interest?
Those federal lands lying within Utah boundaries are not nor ever will be the exclusive property of Utah citizens to exploit as they might wish.
