More rebates available for Utah renewable-energy installations

The Utah Office of Energy Development said it has added $200,000 to this year’s renewable-energy rebate program.
The federally funded effort provides rebates to home and business owners to help them pay for installation of solar panels, solar hot-water and wind-energy systems.
Samantha Mary Julian, director of the state’s energy development office, said the program was launched Aug. 22 with $1 million in funding and has proved extremely popular.
