Provo offering rebates, discounts for energy efficiency

Provo • With a grant from the federal government, the city is going to help residents make a New Year’s resolution: Use less energy. Kevin Garlick, the city’s energy director, said Provo will launch the next phase of its energy-efficiency program in January, offering residents discount energy audits on their homes, rebates for installing insulation and buying energy-efficient products — and free disposal of old energy hogs.
