Tourism boosts economy

Tourism in Cedar City is keeping the wheels of the slow economy turning. Cedar City-Brian Head Tourism Director Maria Twitchell reported to the Iron County Coordinating Council on Wednesday that year-to-date transient room tax revenue increased by 3 percent from last year, which equates $590,000 in revenue collected this year.
