There’s been no shortage of outrage over Utah’s Medicaid data breach, with some calling for employee firings or painting it as proof of government ineptitude.
But security failures happen with frightening frequency, more often in the private than public sector. And Utah’s was hardly tops in scope, the number of people affected, or cost.
