Architectural Nexus to create SLC's first LEED Platinum site

(The Enterprise) Architectural Nexus is working with Jacobsen Construction to redesign the 32,000-square-foot Bally Total Fitness on Parleys Way for Nexus' new headquarters. The building will be Salt Lake City’s first and Utah’s fourth LEED platinum building, producing all of its own electricity through solar power, utilizing natural light and recycling existing building materials. The landscape will also cut down normal water use by 65 percent. The company president said the cost for the new building will be less than what Architectural Nexus pays for rent in its Sugar House location.
