Davis awards building contract
FARMINGTON (Deseret News) — Davis County commissioners awarded a $5.18 million contract to Ogden-based Wadman Corp. to build a new health department administration building.
Wadman outbid 18 other companies for the job.
County officials originally projected the three-story building to cost about $8 million and were heartened by bids ranging from $5.18 million to $6.29 million.
The building, to be located at 22 S. Depot St., in Clearfield, will house a women, infants and children clinic, vital records office, food-handler testing, a public health lab and Midtown Community Health Center on the ground floor; epidemiology office and environmental health on the second floor; and administration, senior services and family health on the third floor.
A senior center, which will replace the county's senior center in Clearfield, is being designed to be attached to the building.
