European gourmet culinary retailer to enter Utah market

(The Enterprise) Oil & Vinegar, a Netherlands retailer, has plans to open eight stores in the United States, including one in Salt Lake City. The store will measure approximately 1,000 square feet, comparable to its other U.S. locations. Most stores are located in upscale malls with high foot traffic, and the CEO said the company would like to locate in the downtown historic district near Trolley Square. The company would like to make an agreement with an area developer who is willing to franchise Oil & Vinegar, building as many as three stores in Utah. The cost to open a new store is between $200,000 and $400,000.
