New business growth continues in Draper

(Draper Journal) Draper continues to attract new businesses despite the overall economic slowdown, according to Assistant City Manager David Dobbins. The new In-n-Out Burger is well under way and is scheduled to open this fall. A new McDonald’s is planned for Bangerter and 200 West, and a Smashburger restaurant will open in the spring of 2010. Kneaders soon will be locating near the new Harmons grocery store, and the Walgreens across the street from Harmons is now open. The Harmons shopping area is home to new offices for Auto-Owners Insurance Group, and a new medical office complex will be located on 11800 South.

eBay is adding employees and will soon have 1,200 jobs at its Draper location. A new Ashley Furniture store is coming to the area around IKEA, and a new Springhill Suites hotel has been approved near Cowabunga Bay.
