Red Iguana restaurant to open second eatery

The owner of the Red Iguana has leased a warehouse on South Temple to house an expansion of the popular Mexican restaurant. Red Iguana 2 will be located near 900 West on South Temple, not too far from the original restaurant at 866 W. South Temple, and is scheduled to open in late fall or early winter. Owner Lucy Cardenas, daughter of founder Ramon Cardenas, hopes the new location, which will have the same chefs and menu items, will help to ease long lines which are typical at its North Temple location.
