Richmond American Homes under investigation

Richmond American Homes of Utah is under investigation by Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro for claims that the company has agreements with Countrywide to inflate the appraisal value of Richmond American homes. According to homeowners, the company encouraged them to use Countrywide for home loan financing. Now Countrywide is allegedly refusing to discuss loan modifications with Richmond American Homes’ homeowners. In the fourth quarter of 2008, Richmond American Homes closed 944 homes at an average selling price of $300,300. The Enterprise, June 8-14, 2009
