Saratoga Springs extending Pony Express Parkway
(Daily Herald) With the help of a $3.5 million grant from Utah County, Saratoga Springs officials were able to award a bid to complete Pony Express Parkway from the Eagle Mountain border into their city.
The City of Eagle Mountain contributed some engineering and planning to help with the project. Its leaders have an interest in seeing the completion of the parkway project because the new road will provide residents of Eagle Mountain with another Utah Valley corridor for transportation. Currently, the only road providing access for Eagle Mountain residents to the northeast part of the valley is state Road 73.
City leaders awarded the bid on the project to Kenny Seng Construction for $1.9 million. The company will complete the leg of road from Pony Express Parkway ending at West Lake High School to the Pony Express Parkway already completed by Eagle Mountain at its boundary line.
