Trends from 2010 Produce Forecasts for 2011 Market

 Commerce Real Estate Solutions released its year-end review of the four areas of commercial real estate for Salt Lake County this week.

The provided information includes trends for each sector as well as their forecast for what 2011 will hold for the real estate business.  

Outlook for 2011 Economy in Utah looks Hopeful

Hendricks and Partners released its Utah Apartment News Year-End Review report, assessing the economic impacts of 2010 but also projecting what 2011 will hold.

The report stated that, “Utah should add 16,500 jobs during 2011, according to Jim Wood, head of the Bureau of Economic and Business Research at the University of Utah.”

Henry Walker Homes has been ranked as one of the top five single-family homebuilders in Utah from the most recent report by Construction Monitor, the leading source of building data for the state of Utah.

Report Shows Promise in 2011

Commerce Real Estate Solutions released its November 2010 issue of Utah’s Economy this week.

The issue sites promising figures for the future of Utah’s economy, mainly in the construction and real estate industries.

Over the last six months, job growth has risen between one and two percent, however, job growth is expected to rise even further in 2011. Another promising figure is six counties are reporting year-over job growth, among which are Salt Lake, Davis and Utah counties.

Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors Elects New Leadership for 2011

The Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors (NWAOR) has chosen Bob Hill, Shawn Janke, Christy Vail, Sonya Smithing, and Lene’ Balster as the new leadership for the 1,900 member realtor group.

Their tenure will officially begin January 1, 2011. These individuals were elected by both the NWAOR membership and current board of directors for their exceptional commitment to helping homeowners in Utah.

Washington County Board of REALTORS® Launches Property Data Syndication Program

Washington County Board of REALTORS® (WCBR) launched Utah’s first Point2 property listing syndication program today.

The initiative will enable WCBR’s 150 local real estate brokers and 850 agent members to publish home listings across Point2’s national partner network of more than 50 high traffic consumer real estate Web sites and search engines, at no added cost to them.

More Townhomes for Midvale

The Midvale City Planning Commission is moving forward with developers on the two townhome subdivisions on the Western side of Midvale. Holmes Homes will be constructing a townhome development on 853 West Tuscany View Road and 7549 South Bingham Junction Blvd. The other development will consist of 328 residential units at 7500 South 800 West in the Bingham Junction Zone/Junction at Midvale Overlay and is currently being developed by the Wasatch Advantage Group.
