  • Ground broken for $12.5 million clubhouse
    03/02/10

    (The Enterprise) Ground was broken on a $12.5 million clubhouse and proshop for the Riverside Country Club at 2701 N. University Avenue in Provo. The clubhouse will be 40,325 square feet, and the proshop will be 12,469 square feet. The new facility will include a restaurant, kitchent, ballroom, meeting halls, boardroom and locker rooms. Zions Bank Real Estate Banking Group is providing the financing for the demolition and ground-up construction. The facility was designed by Douglas W. Fredrickson Architects of Phoenix. Magleby Construction of Lindon is the general contractor.

  • Concept plan approved for Holmes Homes development
    03/02/10

    The Midvale Planning Commission approved the concept plan for a 124-unit townhome development at 7600 S. Bingham Junction Boulevard. Holmes Homes will develop the multi-family residential project.

  • Approval given for UofU Specialty Care Center
    02/25/10

    The final site plan for the University of Utah Specialty Care Center was approved by the South Jordan Planning Commission. The building will be three sotries, 206,900 square feet on 9.4 acres at 5126 W. Daybreak Parkway. The facility will include an outpatient care center and an emergency room with a helipad. The Huntsman Cancer Institute will have an outpatient care center as well as doctors offices in the building. Construction will begin in late spring or early summer. Kennecott Land Company is the developer. Dixon and Associates is the architect.

  • Holladay hosts open house on plaza development
    02/18/10

    Nearly 80 residents attended an open house hosted by Holladay to received input on the design and redevelopment of the Plaza. The Plaza will include retail buildings, water features and a statue of John Holladay. Holladay City also gave final site plan approval for the Holladay Village Mixed-Use Development. This development is located adjacent to the plaza and will have 20,000 square feet of commercial space. Another 100,000 square feet will be high-end apartments. Cowboy partners is the developer for both projects.

  • 13-unit condos approved in Garden City
    02/18/10

    The preliminary plat for Pickleville Commons, a 13-unit condominium development, was approved by the Garden City Council. The development will be built on 2 acres at 2099 S. Bear Lake Blvd.

  • In-N-Out Burger approved in Centerville
    02/18/10

    The final site plan for an In-N-Out Burger was approved by the Centerville City Council. The popular fast food chain will be built on 1.5 acres at 475 N. 700 West in Centerville. Mark Noack with Greenborough Farrow Architecture is the applicant. Construction on the building is scheduled to begin this summer.

  • Lindon approves subdivision of property
    02/05/10

    The Lindon City Council approved the subdivision of the Pear Tree development located at 100 West and 600 North in Lindon. The land will be divided into eight lots that will be sold individually. Each lot will be approximately .50 acres. Sherl Tomlinson of Huggard Estates is the developer.

  • Harmony Place conceptual plan approved
    02/05/10

    The Layton Planning Commission approved the conceptual plan and rezone development agreement for Harmony Place. The residential development will consist of 117 lots with single-family, patio-style homes. A park and a school will eventually be built in the development. Jeff Martineau is the developer on the project. The Layton City Council is scheduled to give final approval later this month.

  • Mixed-use development proposed in Willard
    01/28/10

    North Park Development and Cache Landmark of Logan are discussing the possibility of development nearly 20 acres near the Flying J truck stop in Willard, at approximately 750 North on the east side of Interstate 15. The developers met with the Willard Planning Commission to discuss the proposal, which would include retail, banks, a hotel, restaurants, a convenience store and housing. Frontrunner has also proposed a transit hub at the location. Although the project is just a concept at the time, Willard is hopeful for the development.

  • Smithfield approves PUD
    01/28/10

    The first phase of the Stone Haven planned unit development was approved by the Smithfield Planning and Zoning. The Smithfield City Council will review the project that will be a total of 173 lots in its entirety. The first phase will consist of 18 lots of townhomes, with future phases including the construction of a clubhouse and swimming pool. Construction on the project should being this spring, according to Ryan Rodger of North Ridge Development. The project is located at 100 East and 600 South in Smithfield.
