Annexing 3,000 acres

Eagle Mountain is considering a petition for annexation of approximately 3,000 acres for the development of 2,730 acres. Nate Shipp of Development Associates Inc. is proposing to develop nearly 10,000 residential buildings, 77 acres of commercial development, 65 acres of mixed-use development and a 575-acre business/light industrial park west of Eagle Mountain between Cedar Fort and Fairfield. The project also includes plan for more than 20 acres of public rodeo grounds, three community parks, a regional park and 10 neighborhood parks. A trail system for equestrian and ATV use is also in the works.
