Senior apartment complex planned for Capitol Hill area
The Salt Lake City Council approved the rezone of property on Capitol Hill to accommodate a 70-unit senior housing development planned by the Housing Authority of Salt Lake. Rendon Terrace, 158 N. 600 West, will be funded by tax credits and will be home for those with an annual income of 50 percent or less of the area median income. The complex, which sits on roughly two acres, will have mostly one-bedroom units with some two-bedroom units. Construction of the project will not begin until next year. Harold Woodruff is the architect for the project. The Housing Authority will apply for tax credits through the Utah Housing Corp., then attempt to locate investors to purchase the credits. The Enterprise, July 20-26, 2009
