  • New subdivision for Hyde Park

    The Hyde Park Planning Commission approved the final plat for Northern Meadows Subdivision. The development will consist of 18 lots at 100 W. 730 South in Hyde Park. Michael Cooper is the developer.

  • 15-lot subdivision for River Heights

    A 15-lot subdivision is in the planning process in River Heights. Boulder Ridge, if approved, will be located at 800 S. 500 East. Dan Hogan of Foxridge Development is developing the subdivision.

  • Chick-Fil-A to build in Riverdale

    Chick-Fil-A received approval to start construction on a new restaurant in Riverdale. The building, at 4067 Riverdale Road, will be 4,000 square feet. Chick-Fil-A owns the property and is the developer on the project.

  • Ground broken on site for Eagle Mountain grocery

    Ground was broken in April for a new grocery store, Coop’s Market, in Eagle Mountain off of SR-73 near the Ranches Parkway. The Associated Food store will be 50,000 square feet and will house a bakery, a deli, a pharmacy and an organic food market. Additional retail will be built around the grocery store. Berg Engineering is engineering the project.

  • South Farm development approved

    Phase B of the South Farm LLC development at 13000 S. 5400 West was approved. The subdivision will consist of 43 single family lots, space for an LDS church and land for townhomes. RoseCrest, the project developer, will start road and infrastructure construction soon. Construction on buildings is expected to begin spring of 2010.

  • LDS Church plans for new chapel

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in the beginning planning stages for the construction of a new church house at 400 W. 530 North. LPDJ Architects of Bountiful have been hired for the project. The church has yet to acquire a building contractor.

  • Development proposed for Salt Lake

    Salt City Plaza, LLC, submitted a request for a planned development located at approximately 154 W. 600 South and 179 W. 500 South on 4.92 acres. The developer wants to construct multiple buildings on the site. The Architect is GSBS Architects. The proposal is to construct a hotel with office and retail space. There is currently a motel on site. The north portion of the motel will be saved and used.
  • Lehi approves business park

    The concept plan for the Dry Creek Structures Business Park in Lehi was approved. The park, located at 1000 S. 850 East on 9.3 acres, will be home to a truck stop and outdoor storage facility. Bryce Wadsworth is the developer.

  • Construction to begin on Brickstone Apartments

    Plans for Brickstone Apartments, 220 E. 3300 South, South Salt Lake, have been finalized with the planning commission and construction will begin as soon as financing is firmed up. Developer Ben Masimino of SEEC Enterprises has yet to obtain building permits for the 114-unit development.

  • Lofts at Meadowbrook tabled by planning commission

    South Salt Lake Planning Commission tabled the approval of the Lofts at Meadowbrook, a mixed-use subdivision at 3808 S. West Temple, until its next meeting May 7. Derek Whetten, an independent contractor, has proposed to develop the project with space for offices, 80 apartment units and 34 residential condos in the first phase. Phase 2 will add additional offices and condos. According to the planning commission staff report, Whetten is still looking for financing.
