  • Dental supplier looking to expand

    Great Basin Engineering filed a preliminary subdivision plat application to subdivide property owned by Ultradent, a dental supply manufacturer, into three separate lots. City Planner Greg Schindler said Ultradent has not yet decided whether it will sell or build on the divided lots, although the company does plan to expand its current building.

  • Olive Garden welcomed

    The South Jordan Planning Commission approved the site plan for an Olive Garden at 11364 S. River Heights Drive. City Planner Greg Schindler said Olive Garden Corp. had hopes to begin construction in March. John Keen filed the application.

  • 140-acre subdivision

    Sage Communities is proposing a subdivision of 158 residential units on approximately 140 acres in Eagle Mountain. The project would include 6.1 acres of parks and approximately 88 acres of native open space. Approximately 20 acres of the project would need to be annexed into the city.

  • Annexing 3,000 acres

    Eagle Mountain is considering a petition for annexation of approximately 3,000 acres for the development of 2,730 acres. Nate Shipp of Development Associates Inc. is proposing to develop nearly 10,000 residential buildings, 77 acres of commercial development, 65 acres of mixed-use development and a 575-acre business/light industrial park west of Eagle Mountain between Cedar Fort and Fairfield. The project also includes plan for more than 20 acres of public rodeo grounds, three community parks, a regional park and 10 neighborhood parks.

  • A 40-unit apartment complex

    Brian Lamano plans to construct a 40-unit apartment complex, Tuscany Village, at 1200 E. Gentile Street. The project will include three 12-plex buildings and one fourplex.

  • Three new subdivisions

    Three new subdivisions are currently under way in Layton. Ed Green Construction, the developer and contractor for the Swan Meadows Subdivision, has almost completed Phase 3, a 39-lot subdivision at approximately 2650 W. 1000 North, and Phase 4, also a 39-lot subdivision located at approximately 2625 W. 900 North, said Planning Commission Secretary Julie Jewell. Greyhawk, a Gold Medallion subdivision for single-family homes, has 92 lots on nearly 30 acres and is located at approximately 1800 E. 3100 North.

  • Moving forward on a long-awaited subdivision

    Kenneth Milby continues to work on the Three Falls subdivision, which has been in the works for more than 20 years, City Recorder Janis Williams said. The development was previously named Ilangheni Estates. Williams said the developers would be building the subdivision in phases. Will Jones of Alpine is the developer.

  • Another LDS chapel

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has plans to build a church house at 508 E. Healy Blvd. in Alpine.  The Alpine City Council approved the site plan as long as certain conditions were met, according to City Recorder Janis Williams.

  • Waiting on funds for biz park

    Richfield City is waiting to receive Federal Economic Development Funds to develop the Richfield Business Park. The funds will assist the city in building infrastructure for the park. Three businesses have expressed interest in locating at the business park, City Recorder Michelle Jolley said. Hardinger Trucking will be one of the first to relocate as part of a trade for land to accommodate the expanded airport runway, Jolley said.

  • Affordable housing in Richfield

    Castle Management of Idaho is working on two affordable housing projects in the Mount Catherine Subdivison in Richfield. Vespor Hill Senior Housing is one of the two projects. Together the projects will occupy nearly eight acres.
